The U.S. Navy Submarine Industrial Base program along with local shipbuilding companies and suppliers, elected officials, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the future of the defense workforce during the inaugural National Signing Day event in Boston on May 30.
The National Signing Day concluded a series of five Talent Pipeline Program events across key maritime hubs, honoring the latest group of talent joining the Defense Industrial Base.
Custom Machine was recognized during the event for our three new hires. Michael Pasciuto attended the event representing Custom Machine. He was accompanied by Brandin Bitto who is our 1 of our 3 new hires new hires. The 2 other hires are Anna Mac and Rob Sheean. To quote Rear Adm. Scott Pappano, Program Executive Officer for Strategic Submarines.
“These signing days highlight the many meaningful career paths to be found in submarine manufacturing and the good-paying jobs being created in communities across the country,” emphasized Pappano. “These events represent merely the beginning as we work to grow and sustain the Submarine Industrial Base long-term.”
It was an honor for Custom Machine to be recognized at this event. We have been commited over the past 15+ years to growing the Talent Pipeline. Giving our employees the opportunity to participate in our Apprentice programs which are conducted by our training facility Center for Manufacturing Technology.
